The university offers seventeen athletic programs which consist of 7 male and 10 female teams. Male sports include swimming, dicing, soccer, track and field, golf, cross country, basketball and baseball. Female sports include volleyball, track, tennis, swimming, softball, soccer, rowing, golf, cross country and basketball. The NSU Sharks have so far won 4 straight women's golf championships, and the NSU sharks have been ranked nationally in several sports.
