About Texas Southern University
Texas Southern University (TSU) is a public university which was founded in 1947. With a total enrollment of 6,560 undergraduates in an urban setting, it has a 150 acres campus located in Houston, Texas. Its academic calendar is semester-based. It is currently ranked as a Tier 2 among other universities in the USA.
The university is among the biggest historically black universities in the US. The school has much to offer besides a wide range of undergraduate majors, such as dozens of student organizations and clubs. There are also other internship opportunities and extracurricular activities to be explored at the school. Texas Southern University athletes team known as the TSU Tigers are active members of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) and they compete at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Division I.
Texas Southern University has been constantly developing the biggest potential in leaders from different cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds. While most of the enrolled graduate and undergraduate students are native Texans, the faculty and student population is represented by nearly all states in the country, and by over 50 countries.
