About Towson University
Towson University is located less than an hour's drive from Washington D.C. in Towson, Maryland, and is the second largest public university in the state. Towson has over 22,000 students who learn in an environment that combines research-based learning with practical application. Towson has a student-to-faculty ratio of 17:1, and nearly 30 percent of the university's classes have fewer than 20 students which ensures an excellent learning environment for all.
U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges guide 2017 ranked Towson University 14th in the public Regional Universities (North) category.
