University of Houston - Downtown is a school located in with a total of 1445 courses available to enroll in.

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is one of four distinct higher learning institutions in the University of Houston System. Situated in Houston, United States, UHD is a state-supported university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to offer its own academic programs and confer degrees.

Its beautiful campus spans 40 acres within Downtown Houston. It's the second largest university in the Houston area. Notably, the University of Houston'Downtown is a stand-alone university under the 66th Texas Legislation which established UHD as a separate and distinct entity within the University of Houston System. Away from academics, UHD provides numerous student fitness programs, club sports and intramural sports. Club sports teams at UHD are dubbed the Gators. UHD's mascot is known as Ed-U-Gator.

The UHD campus is hosted in five buildings at Downtown Houston's north end and the south end of Northside near Interstate 10 crossing and Main Street. The university sits at Allen's Landing where Houston was founded. Two of the university's buildings'the Willow Street Pump Station and One Main Building (previously the Merchants and Manufacturers Building), are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The UHD campus is served by METRORail's University of Houston--Downtown station on the Red Line.
