The positive effect of homeopathic medications in the treatment of symptoms of asthma. Homeopathy is an effective type of complementary and alternative medicine (cam) founded in 1796 by german physician samuel hahnemann. In clinical practises, homeopathy is utilised in minute doses of natural substances to reduce the symptoms of chronic diseases such as the atopic lung disease asthma [1-2]. Homeopathic medication can be used to treat the repercussion of asthma in order to achieve remission of asthmatic symptoms [3]. In addition, homeopathy, as an alternative form of medical treatment, may be used to reduce the physiological and psychological effects of an individual"s state of stress or anxiety, common triggers for asthmatic attacks [4-5]. Furthermore, the treatment may also limit the amount in which asthmatic symptoms effect the life of those whom are afflicted, commonly adolescents [6]. However, as every individual has a different severity of asthma, homeopathy treatments may not work for everyone to the same degree.
