Positioning: patient as erect as possible with back against the ir, rotate patients body slightly towards affected side if necessary, position gh joint to centre of ir, abduct extended arm slightly. Internally rotate arm until humeral epicondyles are perpendicular to the ir. Centering: centre to the gh joint, 2. 5cm below the coracoid process, cr perpendicular to the ir. Collimation: top of shoulder, to the inferior angle of the scapula, lateral soft tissue margins to the scj. Centering: cr perpendicular to ir, alternatively 20 degrees cranial angulation, center to gh joint, 2. 5cm below the coracoid process. Collimation: upper and lateral borders of collimation to the soft tissue margins. Ir: move head to unaffected side away from the cr by flexing anteriorly, hand in neutral position.
