Positioning: patient lies supine with msp centered to midline of the table, arms placed at sides away from the body, legs extended with support under the knees for comfort, no rotation of pelvis and shoulders. Centering: cr perpendicular to ir, centered to midway between lcm and xiphoid tip which should be in the centre of the ir. Collimation: lateral to skin margins, top and bottom to ir borders. Centering: center to 5cm superior to symph at msp (around level of asis, cr directed 10-15 degrees caudad (towards the feet) Include below the pubic symphysis to just below the iliac crests: closely on sides to outer margins of the ir.
