ISYS254 Study Guide - Final Guide: Bring Your Own Device, Precondition, Speech Recognition
Document Summary
Prototyping refers to an initial stage of a software usually built for demonstration purposes as the part of development process and problems fixed may occur before a real release is initiated. Patched-up prototype: a system that works but is patched up or patched together, even all the features include storage information that works but just not sufficient. Nonoperational scale model: a nonworking scale model that is set up to test certain aspects of the design. This model will be used when the coding required by the application is too expensive to prototype but when a useful idea of the system can be gained through prototyping of the input and output only. First-of-a-series prototype: creating a full scale model of a system, often called a pilot. This type of model is completely operational and is a realization of what the designer hopes will be a series of airplanes with identical features.
