Storming: members show more of their personalities and become more assertive in establishing roles in the team promote their own perceptions of the team"s mission. Norming: conflicts are resolved, team harmony develops, members understand and accept one another, reach consensus on who the leader is, reach agreement on member roles. Performing: members are committed to the team"s goals, problems are solved, disagreements are handled in the interest of task accomplishment. Adjourning: after the task, wrap up, team dissolved. Moves through these stages of development, develops cohesiveness (a measure of how committed members are to the team"s goals) work quality, competition and evaluation, results in high morale, to be more productive. Norms informal but powerful standards of conduct that members adhere to.
