As any child when retelling any encounter or story, would exaggerate events or acts to convince their parents or parent that they were in the right rather than the wrong. Achilles retelling of events explains the needs for aid for his people and how he desperately needs his mothers aid in this battle against king agamemnon sel sh battle of pride and insolence. Thersites complaints about agamemnon are justi ed because, it is true, king. Why do you think odysseus reacted this way? wouldn"t leave battle nor even speak of such actions.
