Stroke Volume SV= LVEDV (left ventricular end diastolic volume) – LVESV (left ventricular end systolic volume) 3. Ejection Fraction: EF= (SV/LVEDV) X 100 4. Flow Rate F = P 5. Pulse Pressure PP= SP (systolic pressure) – DP (diastolic pressure) 6. MAP (mean arteriole pressure) MAP= Q X TPR (total peripheral resistance) (2 main factors effecting this) Normal bp = 120/80 High bp = 40/90 Find pp (normal) = 120-80 (look at above formula) = 40 MAP = 80 (number can change) (.333 + (40)) (40 =pp) MAP = 93.32 7. Vital Capacity TV (tidal volume) + IRV (inspiratory reserve Volume) + ERV (expiratory reserve volume) = VC 8. Pulmonary Ventilation (air breathed in and out) PV= TV X RR (respiratory rate) 9. Alveolar Ventilation (air between atmospheric and alveolar pressure) (more important than PV, only difference is atomic dead space) AV= (TV-(dead space)) RR
