During the 1800s it is built into a splendid city with numerous architectural achievements. Becomes heavily damaged by wars of religion, etc. as well as a war with the ottoman empire. The style may vary, but the similarity is the versailles: a city of architectural splendor; architectural power of the french king. Life at versailles was a life under absolute power of the king. Even extends to the very ordered structured garden extended behind versailles. Not just social world ruled by king, but also the natural world as well; nature, humanity, society. Versailles becomes a template for a royal palace which expresses the nature of its royal power- being projected as natural; how it should be: a well- ordered hierarchy under a ruler. Two palaces as one complex can be seen in the colored palace. Paralleled over a great distance creating an end for a french style classical garden:
