There is not one singular truth to crime. It changes over time and place, and shifting cultural norms. The processes of criminalization, how we turn people into criminals. We study crime because we don"t want people to suffer injustice. Criminology draws on things like geography, sexual studies, and other disciplinary frames. This means that criminology uses many tools in order to understand the discipline. There can be clashes in the inter disciplines criminology and criminal justice. Focused more on the courts, the juries, policing, and prisons. Research that is aimed at helping the government manage populations and practices of policing and judging. An imperial study of crimes and its forms. It is always developing theories related to crime. Its focused less on crime, like what makes someone a criminal, but its very interested of the social practices that makes something into a crime.
