This week"s reading is focused on the newest generation of people in the workforce millennials. Millennials are those born between the years of 1980 2000 and the majority of people who will make up the workforce by 2020. Although millennials may have some negative stereotypes, they are just used to a different set of expectations. At first, the kind of work that baby boomers were involved in had no use of technology, which may lead some to think back-breaking or old-fashioned manual labour was the only way to get a job done. Yet the majority of the millennial generation simply use new methods to get the same work accomplished. Positive associations with millennials are that they are more technologically inclined, have better educations, and are eager to find different types of work during their careers. This new way of working may even prove to be faster and more efficient.
