Cultural norms can also shift over time (homosexuality was removed from dsm in the 70"s). Ultimately, each society selects general criteria for defining abnormality and then uses those criteria to judge particular cases. The various disorders overlap each other so much that is difficult to distinguish from one to another. Highly risk of developing schizophrenia: anti-social, borderline (2%), histrionic (2% - 3%), narcissistic (1%). (almost impossible for them to have relationships) Fanatic efforts to avoid abandonment: avoidant, dependent, obsessive-compulsive.
