Spatial perspective focuses on patterns and processes on earth"s surface; any pattern we see around us, or on a map, is governed my natural or human processes. Pattern deals with the detection of order in nature. Process deals with the mechanisms that generate and maintain this order. Deterministic outcome can be predicted with certainty. Why: why does a particular pattern exist, what processes have affected the pattern, why are these processes.
