Lotr, harry potter, the odyssey (short and long) fiction and poetry. * we are already experts because we were all children once. Mythoi-> kinds of stories, kinds of mythical narratives/ arks. Give suggestions about questions-> a sheet of paper where we have made up 5 exam questions for the course. All based on how to talk about the texts within relation together. 1st half poetry and 2nd half of short fiction. This goes up online so you can study from it. On exam maybe 8 questions will be chosen and you chose two to write about on exam. Want and need are interestingly related to each other. A metaphor for how children develop-> curiosity, appetite for learning and figuring out what the adults are doing. There were no books for children back then, so the mother is reading a book for her-> the child is reaching towards the book the mom is reading.
