Democracy is government by the people in the form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. 123/195 countries in the world pretend that the people are in charge: 123 countries have democracy. If not everyone can control the ship then everyone cannot be a part of the government. Requires us to hand the rule of the community to people who are untrained and would not do well with it: recipe for disaster. This is the most influential theory of leadership: very influential in structuring political leadership. Influential in areas of leadership outside of politics: health care, coaches in sports, military leadership, prison, religious leaders.
