Moral of the story: everybody is a racist. We are socialized in stereotypes learned from parents, friends, media, news media. News people choose to show can reinforce stereotypes. Stereotypes are cognitive and an effective/emotional component. May seem to be positive or negative. You like a group far more than you should based on its attributes like how people. Hate prejudice don"t feel comfortable around someone for no real first-hand really like canadians reason. May not make eye contact with people of a certain group, fold arms when talking to them etc. Stereotypes (lazy, nasty, violent) can lead to negative emotions prejudice. Stereotypes help you justify why you might not like someone when we have that kind of emotional reaction to a group prejudice it can lead to stereotypes. Discrimination can lead to stereotypes and prejudice. If you"re discriminating against some target you have to know why. Holocaust had a whole bunch of people being asked to discriminate against jews.
