Enables us to use history and biography and the relations between the two within society . Understand the distinction between a person"s troubles and public issues. If one person is employed, that is a personal problem, if a million people can"t, that"s a public issue. So it studies the relationship between self and society. For example, exercise benefits an individual, but also benefits society as it makes them a more productive and active person. Is there a difference between one or a few individuals rather than a massive level of inequality. If it"s only affecting some individuals, maybe it is their own problem. Troubles only apply to some individuals, our generation has a lot of problems with employment, mental health, and housing. These 3 things affect our population demographically based on s. i. that means there is something wrong in the system if it is affecting our generation and that makes it an issue.
