So basically: foucault is saying that desire is the most important thing, the actual act is not very important and no one really knows what desire actually is (confusing i know) The purpose of this study (described in the article) is to explore how young heterosexual adults in relationships construct sex and sexuality. Male sex drive: that male sex drive is biological and innate, they view women as objects of this sexual desire.
