They are responsible for coordinating the activities of organizational subunits (departments or functional areas) to help the organization achieve its long term goals. Management teams have long lifespans and moderate member involvement. Examples include tom management teams: parallel teams teams composed of members from various jobs within the organization that meet to provide recommendations about important issues. Parallel teams have varying life spans and low member involvement.
