Canadian politics is primarily concerned with the political narratives present in our nation. Consistent themes within canadian politics derive from the victor (colonizers) . The st. lawrence- cartier arrived in 1534. Tadoussac- an established trading post for indigenous peoples which europeans eventually joined. Different motivations for the placement of borders. Previously, borders were unapologetically put in place in order to ensure the divide between colonizers and indigenous peoples. Ex: treaties move borders and acknowledge the outcome of con icts. ~ treated as free trade zones" (demers) during the colonial period. The maintenance of relationships with indigenous peoples in the intervening territory. The boundaries shifted again after conquest and again with the introduction of the quebec. The addition of grievances (intolerable acts) the hemming in of the thirteen colonies.
