No longer in sexual disorders but own diagnostic class: paraphilic disorder. Paraphilia vs. paraphilic disorder nomenclature: rational rooted in de-stigmatization of variability in people"s sexual interest. E. g. a person can have an orientation towards voyeuristic behaviour, but it may not become problematic or cause harm to other individuals. They may not act on it: e. g. Voyeurism vs. voyeuristic disorder: paraphilia not inherently problematic, disorder is the distress/harm that is caused when the sexual attraction is acted upon, paraphilia necessary but not sufficient for diagnosis, marked gender asymmetry almost all male. More of a psychological construct sense of maleness or femaleness. Influences how people perceive themselves and each other, how they act and interact, and the distribution of power. Primarily associated with physical and physiological features including sex chromosomes, gene expression, hormone levels and function, and reproductive/sex anatomy. Sex is usually categorized as female or male. Gender identity: one"s sense of maleness or femaleness, or gradations of both.
