The author is a frequent traveler and a recurrent resident of mainland china, hong kong, and taiwan, claiming over twenty years of experience in interaction with chinese people. As a result of his travels, he has obtained what he considers to be complete understanding of chinese cultural norms, and thus, feels credible enough to share his expertise through this book. However, despite his best efforts, i find the content and style of this book to be outdated, condescending and racially dividing.
