In this report, our initiative because i am a girl will be explained in detail as to who we are, what we do, how we"ve made a difference, and why we need the governments help. Because i am a girl is a non-profit organization that was created to end gender equality, promote the rights of girls and decrease poverty for not only girls but the disadvantaged people around them as well. Because i am a girl was founded by plan. International which is one of the largest international charities in the world. We have dedicated our time and efforts solely on girls because girls are among the most disadvantaged people on the planet in the poorest regions. In under privileged countries, girls are more likely to live in poverty, be denied access to education, be denied medical care, be malnourished simply because they are girls. Unfortunately, girls face discrimination and barriers to their survival and development on a daily basis.
