Instructions : this is a closed-book test. An a-size sheet with self-prepared notes is permitted to be brought to the exam. The duration of the test is 3 hours: there are ve (5) questions in this test. The marks for each question and for each part of the questions are indicated explicitly in the paper. The total marks of the paper are 100: clearly show all steps used in your solution. No marks will be given for numerical results or expressions unless accompanied with a correct solution method. Diodes are widely used in esd protection of high-speed circuits due to their large current conduction capacity when forward biased and their low parasitic junction capacitances. (1) show the schematic of a diode-based esd protection system. Provide the side view of all the diodes used in your design (5 marks) Show the schematic of the revised esp protection circuit. Esp protection circuit cannot support high-frequency applications (5 marks).
