The last laugh - comment on something in society (nothing is by accident in movies because it is a construction by people) Water imagery in one shot, the father overtakes the shot, it appears as though ben is submerged in water: cougar throws the keys into the aquarium (construction) Subjective camera inside of ben"s mask. Jerky camera movements from ben"s pov (ask if it were his head, his eyes) His father pushes him down into the water further. Metaphorically and personally drowning as the meaning of the water imagery: the camera pulls back and shows him as the little diver in the sh tank. The scene where ben jumps out of the pool onto the air mattress and without missing a beat, he is on top of mrs. robinson instead of the air mattress: match-cut.
