Maintains that there are certain standards of human decency and respect for the worth of others that rule out treating them in certain ways. Some actions are viewed having inherently good or bad qualities. These standards of right and wrong provide directives for action, telling us which behaviours are acceptable and which are not. The agents or persons who are acting in the situation: issues of character, the personal traits and qualities that define who we are as human agents .
