Created to print continuous tone colour images like photographs. Dots in each screen vary in size and continuity to the image"s tonal range. Images are made up of layered screens/dots of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks arranged in rosettes. 4 transparent inks used in the 4 colour printing process: cyan, magenta, yellow, black. Every colour image is made up of a variety of differently sized dots in each of the four ink colours. A plate is created from the separations. All 4 separations create the final printed full colour image. How to put ink on paper: offset printing uses a system of rollers to get the ink on the plate cylinder, then onto the offset cylinder, then onto the paper.
