Theoretical note: sentencing principles are often based on the assumption that people act rationally (is this assumption accurate enough your thoughts?) Acting rational - not really especially when they believe they won"t be caught. Sentencing principles for organizations (mitigating and aggravating factors) Mitigating circumstances factors that weigh in the defendant"s favor (lower sentence) Aggravating circumstances factors supporting a stiffer penalty. (increase sentence) Above senior officer, the ladder is flat. Would it matter if senior officer is lower - no, just cause it wasn"t a higher senior officer does not matter. Essentially a ban on doing business with many government entities. Basically the government will not be doing business with you.
