Requires multiple setups to be chosen during the planning process. Actors say lines multiple times for each take to ensure cohesion between cuts. Control room: director, script assistant, switcher, video record/playback. Audio/ancillary: audio lead, digital disk recorder, character generator. All cameras are active so director can choose any camera to bring that camera live to air. First to demonstrate existence of electromagnetic radiation by building an apparatus to produce radio waves cycles per second = hz. The range of acoustic amplitudes that the ear can detect is a million to one ratio. 10 decibel difference between two sounds is perceived as a loudness difference of a factor of two - it"s twice as loud. At 20hz the wavelength of the sound in air is 17 metres. When two wavelengths are in phase (exactly the same) they create one cohesive wave from the two. When two wavelengths are 180 degrees out of phase with each other, no sound is emitted.
