Talk about everything with that topic across age periods. Idea that development includes improvement, declines, and stability. Different directions in development and different rates. Idea that we have so many different aspects to our development and they are developing at the same time and independently. People believed that plasticity ends when you become an adult. Childhood has more plasticity than adulthood, but never 0. Context refers to your environment, people around you, cultural context. History highlights even though you"re possibly growing up in the same city as your parents and maybe even grandparents, you are growing up in a different historical context and it is different than how they grew up. Multiple causes that influence every aspect of behaviour.
