Protested against the many inconsistencies in government: and in the management of public affairs. Protested various reforms the make criminal justice more logical and rational. Objected to: random and person justices, severe and barbaric punishments of the time, swift, fair, severe enough to operate as a specific and general deterrent, punishment must fit the crime. Person in the center, you cannot see them but they can see you constantly being watched by someone but do not know who and how. Deterrent because you feel you are being watched, constantly supervised. Actions are taken / decisions are made: as a rational exercise of free will.
