Disparity has always been a part of society, and slowly it has grown so that the gap is now quite large between the wealthy and the poor. Disparity comes naturally, and usually it grows because of the underdevelopment in certain regions. Governments also play a large role, as does the environment. Disparity in access to food is quite evident in the world. Ledcs have access to less food than medcs, and it is because of their environment and geographical location. In most ledcs agriculture played a big role in the people"s lives. They farmed so that they would have food to feed the family, and since it was produced on a subsistence basis there wouldn"t be much food left to sell. Furthermore since these regions are underdeveloped, they still use traditional farming methods that do not allow farmers to optimise productivity.
