This is essential to use to take effective action for achieving our goals and ideals. Common good is a normative ideal that achieve something better through power and ensuring the good functioning of governing and it can potentially benefit to all members of political community. But it is hard to make consensus to agree what is good for the community as a whole. We all have a shared responsibility to make individual sacrifices for the well-being of the larger community. Individualist perspective is views that human beings primarily act for their own interests. This view holders argue that if everyone is free to pursue own interests, it will lead to best result for the members of community. Communitarian perspective focused more on the common good and the public interest than on autonomy.
