In a stereotype threat free environment student b then out performs student a and we can see the evidence of latent ability . Stereotype threat mere presence of stereotype, knowing it exists and being reminded of it can affect one"s performance and cause them to perform poorly. Traditional measures underestimate the stereotyped students ability and this would benefit these students and let them reach their full potential. Explain what they mean by this and give an example.
