Operational definition: quantitative and qualitative explanation to get an unbiased definition. Positive correlation: one goes up both go up. Negative correlation: one goes up and one goes down vice versa. Hawthorne: change actions because you know someone is watching you. Construct validity: the extent to which variables measure what they are supposed to measure.
