The hist1500y mid-year exam will be written from 9:00 to 11:00 am on friday, december. 6, in the athletic center. (times and locations will vary for those writing under the auspices of student accessibility services. ) The exam will be based on all of the lectures and tutorial readings of the first term. There are two parts to the exam, each part being worth 50% of the total. Part a consists of 2 broad essay-type questions, one of which must be answered. It is assumed that this section will take about 60 minutes to complete. Part b consists of 11 more specific items, 5 of which must be identified and discussed, indicating their relevance to the course. Each of these items is worth 10% of the exam total, and it is assumed that this section also will take about 60 minutes to complete. You should avoid repeating the same material from one answer to another.
