Folktales: main characters are ordinary people or animals, fables, fairytales, purpose is to entertain and educate. Collects myths and try to understand what they were to people who told them. Xenophones: believed in one god: people are limited in their imagination. Plato: said to keep myths away from kids cuz of its power, these stories are responsible of the misconceptions we have, myths are allegorical and not consistent with each other. Not rich in minerals or tillable land: mountainous/numinous.
