Ways to do this: shift your attention between details (look at what is not said instead of what it is said) examine the contextual elements (setting, context, etc. ) Identify the issues (a question with various debatable answers) example: Innocence: na ve: a kid has an awful job but it is alright because religion will send him to heaven. Religion functions as an opiate of the people. No matter how sucky your life is on earth it does not matter, in the end you go to heaven.
