Ideology: a vision about how politics, government, society, and economy organized. Common principle of liberalism: personal freedom, equality of individual, limited government: limited authority, consent of the government. Neo-liberal: free market, equal rights, negative freedom (leave u alone) What is the legitimate extent of power a society, may exercise over the individual. The sole end for which mankind are warranted either individually or collectively in interfering with any of their members is self-protection. His own good either physical or moral is not sufficient warrant. If mankind minus one were of one opinion, and only one was of a contrary opinion, the mankind would be no more justified in silencing the one, then one if he had power, would be in silencing all mankind. Primary social goods (psgs): income, wealth, liberty, and opportunities; things we need to achieve the ideas and other needs. Rational: we have the ability to express a conception of good.
