-Wide variety of environment
-Each environment has different rich
resources: people in one spot relies on
other
-Tigris and Euphrates have fish, sediment
for clay, but lacking in trees and metals
-Nomadic people in deserts use animals
to produce milk and cheese
-With all these different landscapes, you
can trade for what you need (win-win)
-60 thousand years ago, very different
from now
-More green areas now compared to
before
-Lush green ribbon where you can get
everything you need
-Distribution of resources is different
here
-Upper have different resource than
Lower Egypt (each had their own rules
until unification of Egypt circa 3100
BC)

sufficient, acting as a state but
themselves as cities (city states)

other
