Herd animal: should not live in solitary environment, need to interact w other horses ideally live w other horse, at least chicken, goat. Foraging/ resting behaviour: spend 16hrs grazing, spend 4-6hrs resting: must provide space to lie down and safe mental environment where feel safe enough to lie down or will become sleep deprived.
