Day to day ir is about peace and cooperation. Exchange and cooperation builds, it becomes deeper and stronger, it creates peace and democracies. A populated unambiguous bordered territory and to the legal, political body that governs that territory. Has sovereignty over its own affairs and population: sovereignty: independence from other nations. Has a monopoly on the authority and power to engage in war. 3 most important elements: force legitimacy: monopoly.
