Willingness to donate organs is closely related to the individuals general attitude and personal fears and anxieties. Stepping off the curb experiment by briscoe and kastenbaum ppl classified as type a (safe pedestrians) wait until light changes in their favour, look both ways, move briskly across street, look both ways again. Type e were the complete opposite extreme. Street crossing behaviour was related to general views towards risk taking. Attitudes and feelings can be expressed in behaviour choices that either increase or decrease probability of death. There is a difference b/w intellectual knowledge and emotional impact or realization.
