Each person signs up on courselink for 1 primary debate topic and. Together, research topic and prepare 8-10 min powerpoint presentation. 2-3 spokespeople from each group present in front of the class. With presentation, each primary side must include 4-5 possible exam questions pertaining to their material. Each side must submit at least one piece of supporting literature for the class 72 hrs before debate on dropbox. First 10 mins after presentation are open to only members of primary groups for debate/discussion. After initial 10 min debate, debate opened to include secondary group members (and possible the whole class) Each person is expected to be an active member in the online discussion and preparations at least 72 hrs before debate. Contributions may include input for arguments, possible rebutals, background info with cited sources. Each group member should provide at least one unique piece of support with associated citation from literature. Summarizes the current understanding of the biology of a species.
