In order to be the least disruptive possible, have the servers hand out the survey questionnaires to visitors of their choice as they see fit. Assign random numbers to each individual in sampling frame, then select n individuals (n is the sample size) Randomly select 50 seats and survey the people who are there. The population is divided into groups, based on some characteristic. Within each group, a probability sample (often srs) is selected; groups are called strata. There are two ticket categories, one that includes a three-course dinner and one that doesn"t. Randomly select unique ticket ids in advance, 20 with dinner and 30 without, and survey these people as they enter. Clusters are subsets of a sampling frame that we know/assume to be representative of a population. Sample includes elements only from the sampled clusters.
