Absolute locaion: dictates where each point is on a reference system (eg. township, range, secion, street addresses) Geographical coordinate system: a type of reference system in which each place is given a unique value based on its laitude and longitude. Relaive locaion: the locaion of a place compared to others. Laitude: a measured distance north or south of the equator, with the north and south poles as key references points. Longitude: a measured distance east and west of the prime meridian.
