L-p shut down freedom of press; this is severely censored; daumier had to retreat to other subjects. Philipon often fined by government for his lithographic satires. About a veteran who fought in the barricades in the revolution, but not doing well, wounded and lack of support, committing suicide in front of chamber of deputies.
